The short version
- We collect what you send us (your name, email, and what you tell us about your business), plus basic visit statistics.
- We use it to reply, send you your preview, and talk with you about working together.
- We don't sell it, we don't use advertising trackers, and we don't set cookies of our own.
- Use our contact form anytime to see, correct, or delete what we have.
1.Who we are
Crafted Labs Holdings Inc. (“Crafted Labs,” “we,” “us”) runs this website, craftedlabs.com. We're a small team that builds custom software and AI for businesses that have outgrown their spreadsheets.
This policy explains what information we collect through the site and the emails and calls that follow from it, what we do with it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
2.What we collect
We collect what you choose to share with us, the basic technical details any website receives, and a business profile we look up from your email address.
When you send us a message
Your name, email address, and message. The contact form emails them to our inbox and posts a copy in our team chat. If you email us directly, we get whatever you include.
When you unlock a preview
Your email address and which scenario you were looking at, so we can send you the link. Anything you change inside a preview, like the cost calculator or the demo app, stays in your browser. We don't receive it.
Once a preview is unlocked, our booking calendar from SavvyCal loads on the page. SavvyCal receives the usual technical details from your browser, the page's address, a reference to your preview, so that a booking can be matched to it, and the email address you unlocked with, so you don't have to type it again. You don't have to book anything.
When you describe your own problem
What you write and your email address, so we can build a preview for your problem and send it to you. If you refine your description, we keep those additions too. We may use Anthropic's AI model, Claude, to help turn your description into a preview.
When you book a call
Our booking calendar from SavvyCal is also on the contact page. When it loads, SavvyCal receives the usual technical details from your browser and the page's address, whether or not you book.
SavvyCal collects your name, email address, the time you pick, and anything you add to the booking, and shares it with us so we can meet.
With your permission, we record and transcribe our calls so we have accurate notes of what we discussed. We only record when you agree, and you can say no.
What we look up about you
When you send us a message, unlock a preview, ask for one, or book a call, we look up the email address you gave us with MoltSets, a business data provider. If it has a profile, it may tell us your name, job title, seniority, employer, the company's website, size, revenue range, and country, and your LinkedIn profile. We use it to understand who we're talking to before we reply. We only look up people who reach out to us through the site.
When you browse the site
Like any website, ours receives the technical details your browser sends with each visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the page that linked you here. Our host uses them to deliver pages and keep the site secure, and our analytics tools turn them into visit counts. We also count a few events, like finishing a walkthrough or unlocking a preview, labeled with the scenario's name and never with your name or email.
When you send us a message, unlock a preview, or ask us to build one, we turn your IP address into a scrambled code (a one-way hash) and use it to limit how many requests can come from one place. We use the code, not your address, and may keep it with a preview request to help spot abuse.
Our host, Vercel, also checks that each form you send comes from a real browser and not an automated bot. The check runs in your browser and uses technical details about it and your device.
3.How we use it
- To reply to your messages and requests.
- To send you your preview link, confirm we got your request, and follow up about it.
- To talk with you about working together, and keep track of those conversations in our CRM.
- To learn about you and your business before we reply, from the profile we look up.
- To schedule calls and prepare for them.
- With your permission, to record and transcribe calls so we have accurate notes.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam and abuse.
- To see which pages and scenarios people find useful, so we can improve the site.
- To meet our legal obligations.
The emails the site sends you automatically are plain text, with no tracking pixels.
6.How long we keep it
- Messages, leads, requests, bookings, and call recordings: as long as they're useful for our conversation or working relationship. Ask us and we'll delete them sooner.
- Scrambled IP codes: about two days for rate limiting. A code saved with a request is deleted along with that request.
- Analytics: we only ever see totals, which don't identify you, and keep them as long as they're useful.
- Technical logs: kept by Vercel for a short time to keep the site running and secure.
When you ask us to delete your information, we'll remove it from our CRM, database, inbox, calendar, and call recordings, unless we have to keep something to meet a legal obligation.
7.Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you, and send you a copy.
- Correct it.
- Delete it.
- Stop emailing you.
To ask, use our contact form or reply to any email we've sent you. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm the request from the email address it's about. We'll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, such as California and some other US states, or the EU and UK, you may have more rights, like objecting to how we use your information. We honor these requests from everyone, wherever you live.
If you're in the EU or UK: we handle your information because you asked us for something, like a reply or a preview, or because of our legitimate interest in following up on business conversations and keeping the site secure. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8.Children
Our site is for businesses and isn't meant for children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us through our contact form and we'll delete it.
9.Security
We protect your information with reasonable measures: the site runs over HTTPS, our own systems store scrambled codes instead of IP addresses, access is limited to our team, and we choose providers that take security seriously. No website or email is perfectly secure, though, so we can't guarantee it.
If a preview is saved for you, its link is private and hard to guess, and search engines are told not to list it. The preview's address is also seen by our host, analytics, and booking calendar providers. Anyone you share the link with can open it, so share it with care.
10.Where we process it
We're based in the United States. Your information is processed in the US, and some of our service providers may also process it in other countries where they operate.
11.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
